Pinch of Spice

We began this cookbook as a collection of the treasured family recipes contributed by the members of our church – St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church of Delaware Valley in Malvern, PA. Being predominantly from Kerala, India, these recipes are some of the classic South Indian favorites, along with a good variety of other regional and International favorites. Our own culinary journey through taste and traditional cooking, have enabled us to modify some of the recipes to suit the needs of today’s cook - fast and easy, yet uncompromising on taste and quality.

We have tried to include a variety of recipes of varying difficulty levels and to meet the needs of different taste preferences. We hope this book would be a handy guide to those who are trying Indian cuisine for the first time, as well as others of Indian origin who grew up on Indian food, and now would like to learn the secrets of their parent’s kitchens. We would love to hear from you about your experience with this cookbook. Please contact us at pinchofspicecookbook@gmail.com with comments
